Surya Memorial Foundation carried out a Community Field Visit & Rural Needs Assessment Program between 02 May 2025 and 23 June 2025 in villages including Karungulam, Aanangarapatti, Purathakudi, Thomas Nagar, Kumaravadi, Moorampatti, Onthampatti, Nochimedu, and Periyaanai Karaipatti.

The program involved door-to-door household visits and interactions with women, elderly persons, youth, and daily wage workers to understand their social and economic challenges. Key issues such as unemployment, health concerns, education gaps, and lack of awareness about government welfare schemes were identified. The collected field data will help Surya Memorial Foundation plan need-based and impactful community development programs while strengthening trust and grassroots connections.
