Surya Memorial Foundation carried out a Community Field Visit & Rural Needs Assessment Program between 29 December 2025 and 03 January 2026 in villages including Karuthakuddiyangpatty, Poosaripatty, Sevalur, N. Poolampatty, Puthanatham, Onthapatti, and Thoppampatty.

The program involved door-to-door household visits and direct interaction with women, elderly persons, youth, and daily wage workers to understand their social and economic challenges. Key issues related to health access, education gaps, unemployment, and lack of awareness of welfare schemes were identified. The collected field data will support Surya Memorial Foundation in planning need-based and impactful rural development programs while strengthening trust and connection with the community.
