Surya Memorial Foundation carried out a Community Field Visit & Rural Needs Assessment Program between 05 January 2026 and 10 January 2026 in villages including Karuthakuddiyangpatty, Poosaripatty, Sevalur, N. Poolampatty, Puthanatham, Onthapatti, and Thoppampatty.

The field team conducted door-to-door household visits and interacted with women, elderly persons, youth, and daily wage workers to understand their social and economic challenges. Key issues such as unemployment, health concerns, education gaps, and lack of awareness of government welfare schemes were identified. The collected data will support Surya Memorial Foundation in planning need-based and impactful community development programs while strengthening its grassroots connection with rural communities.
